2018 Grand Bourjassot Gigondas Classique 89-92
Moving to the 2018s out of barrel, the 2018 Gigondas Classique is a medium-bodied, elegant,
and finesse-driven effort that shows the style of the vintage beautifully. Offering notes of kirsch,
black cherries, bouquet garni, and assorted spices, I love its purity of fruit as well as its balance.
It should end up being an outstanding wine and drink well for 7-8 years or more.

Gigondas Classique 2018
2018 Domaine du Grand Bourjassot • Gigondas (89)
The rose-scented 2018 Gigondas is already very drinkable. Full-bodied, supple and easy, it picks
up a faintly green edge to the raspberry fruit and just a touch of peppery spice on the finish.
Drink it over the next 5-6 years.

2017 Grand Bourjassot Gigondas Classique 89+
A wine that has outstanding potential, the 2017 Gigondas Classique has classic earthy dark
fruits and peppery, meaty notes as well as medium-bodied richness, good balance, and some
chewy, firm tannins on the finish. It’s a classic, well-made Gigondas that will benefit from 2-3
years of bottle age and keep for a decade.

Loaded with scents of cherries, tangerine and spice, the 2017 Gigondas is full-bodied, silkytextured, long and savory. Aged only in tank, it's a stunning example of Gigondas that should be available for a realistic price. Drink it over the next 6-7 years.

JEB DUNNUCK : 2017 Grand Bourjassot Gigondas Cuvee Cecile 92
A more limited production cuvée, the 2017 Gigondas Cuvée Cécile is a step up over the
Classique release and has full-bodied notes of black fruit, violets, ground pepper, and garrigue.
Rich, nicely concentrated, and balanced, it shines just as much for its balance and elegance as power. Drink it over the coming decade or more.

2017 Domaine du Grand Bourjassot • Gigondas Cuvee Cecile 94pts
Even better than the impressive classic cuvée, Grand Bourjassot's 2017 Gigondas Cuvee Cecile delivers indelible waves of flavor and texture, starting with hints of clove and leather, then adding bushels of ripe, juicy cherries. Full-bodied, silky and long, it should drink well for up to a decade.

Gigondas Domaine du Grand Bourjassot Cuvée Cécile red 2017 ****
(casks) dark, full red. The nose is weighty, offers black olives, a creamy depth of black fruit jam, grilling, hints of pine-freshness. The palate holds suave richness, with an aromatic, musky side to the black fruit, the tannins supple and layered. This has a full, rather fat centre, comes in the shape of an orb, lasts nicely. From 2021. 2037-39

Domaine du Grand Bourjassot, Cuvée Cécile 2017 : 91 points
Grand Bourjassot is a small 7ha family-owned domaine established in 1993.
For its Cuvée Cécile, 65-year-old vines are hand-harvested. I'm guessing stalks have helped to tailor this wine. Its cinnamon-dusted black cherry fruit is joined by a touch of menthol, and you'll want to keep smelling this over and over. It's medium-bodied, with super-fresh, cool blackberry fruits leading to a tightly-corseted, fine tannic finish of energetic mineral and saline with some gentle warmth.

Jeb Dunnuck: Domaine du Grand Bourjassot, Gigondas Cuvée Cécile 2016: 92+
The 2016 Gigondas cuvée Cécile is a complex, elegant effort based on 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah
It offers classic red and black fruits, flower garden, and spice aromas and flavors, medium body, a building sence of minerality and a clean elegant style. There's enough tannin to warrant short-term cellaring.

Jancis Robinson : "Domaine du Grand Bourjassot, Cuvée Cécile 2015 Gigondas 15.5"
Minimum 70% Grenache, the remainder Syrah and Mourvèdre. Whole-bunch pressed.
Matured for 10 months in French oak barriques. Cask sample. Tasted blind. Purplish crimson.
Rather rustic nose and very smooth texture. Tastes as though it were made without too much
thought – just the fruit, the whole fruit and not hing but the local fruit. A bit astringent on the
end. 14%
